This Privacy Policy explains how Loupe Ventures Group, LLC ("Loupe," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use loupe.earth, app.loupe.earth, and related services (the "Service").

1. Information we collect
   • Account information: name, email address, organization, job title, and password.
   • Billing information: billing name, address, and plan. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
   • Content you provide: parcels, boundaries, files, and searches you enter or upload.
   • Usage information: pages and features used, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from it.
   • Communications: messages you send us, and responses to our emails.
   • Cookies: see section 6.

2. How we use it
   • to provide, operate, secure, and support the Service
   • to process payments and manage subscriptions
   • to send account, billing, and service emails
   • to send product updates and news, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
   • to understand usage and improve the Service
   • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms
   We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Who we share it with
   We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it. These include providers for hosting and infrastructure, payments (Stripe), email delivery, mapping and geospatial data, and analytics. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. On team plans, your account information and content are visible to your team's administrators and members.

4. How long we keep it
   We keep account information while your account is active and for up to 24 months after it closes, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, billing records). You can ask us to delete your data sooner; see section 7.

5. Security
   We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies
   We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to run the Service. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner, and change your choice in your browser settings at any time.

7. Your rights
   Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. To use these rights, email support@loupe.earth. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers
   Loupe is based in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children
   The Service is for professional use and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes
    We may update this policy. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the Service before it takes effect.
